Description
For sale is one Cannon A-1 35mm film camera. This camera can function in fully Auto-Program Mode; Shutter Priority Mode; Aperture Priority Mode; and of course Full Manual Mode, including timed exposures down to 30-seconds, and a Bulb Setting for setting indefinite exposure times. It utilizes a manual film-cock advance, and a viewfinder-blocking window for Extended Timed Exposures. The A-1 has “depth of field” preview, so you can see how much depth of field your photo will have before taking the shot. There is also an input for a Canon electronic remote shutter release, which plugs directly into the front of the camera body. Unfortunately I do not have a lens to go with this camera. I am using all my Cannon FD Lens on my Cannon T-1 (the tank), so I don’t have any Canon FD lens or any other brand lens in my arsenal to fit this camera.BUT…. included is a Model C-1TR Power Advance Winder w/auto rewind made for Canon. This Power Winder not only supports the Canon A-1, but the AE1-P, AE-1, AV-1, AL-1, and the AT-1 models. This unit does single shot, continuous shots (up to 5 frames per second), and timer shots. The timer has 5-second, 30-second, and 60-second delay. This power unit even has an input for an electronic remote shutter release too. Tripod hookup/screw insert in bottom of unit. The overall condition of the camera is good, but with very slight black wear-off on the film cock, and at certain edges. Definitely good for its age. Operationally, mechanically, and electronically it is perfect!! The light meter is set and calibrated to specs. The camera was checked at a professional shop not more than 1 year ago, and all operations checked well. The only thing they had to do was replace the light seals.A good Canon FD normal lens can be purchased at a local Photo shop/Pawnshop, or on E-Bay for about $25. You can find a quality aftermarket brand lens at a good price to fit this camera too. The camera has given me many years of pleasure, and I am sorry to see it go. I am also a camera/photo collector, but I am also a professional musician, and its time to upgrade and build on my music gear.Who ever wins this camera will definitely enjoy this piece, and the perfect pictures it takes.Any questions, please contact me. I like to know that people are getting what they expect!!
