The serial number is 2357148. This beautiful lens has legendary performance. With the use of the spectacles, you will be able to focus to 20" on your M series camera. It is my understanding that this lens will not work on the latest M series bodies. It is up to the buyer to determine whether or not this lens will fit your camera. There is no rear cap, sorry!winner will receive the lens, spectacles, case for spectacle (which in itself just sold for over $75 on Ebay 8 days ago, albeit that case was in better condition than this one), a Leitz chrome 39mm UVa filter, reversible lenshood IROOA and origianl Leica lens cap which slips on the the hood while it is reversed on the lens.
