Description
Lancaster Wood, Brass, Leather horizontal enlarger A beautiful display piece from around 1914. Made by the Lancaster company of Birmingham, UK. The company was well known for its wood, brass and leather cameras. * Fully extended, it measures 52 cm long by 15 cm wide and 30 cm high. Bellows closed, it measures 40 cm long. Item weighs 3.5 kg (before packing). * Film holder is designed for 8.5x6.5 cm film or plates. * Originally, it would have used gas or acetylene for a light source. Back is open to take a blackout curtain. * Lens is Aldis Anastigmat No3. Aperture and focal length unknown but the iris is operative. * Believe it, I have actually used it as an enlarger, having made 10x8 prints from 20 negs years ago. I installed a modern light globe in the lamphouse. * This item will need careful packing. Ask for postage cost to your address. * Note: due to one of the quirks of eBay, the postage within Australia cannot be confirmed. Packed, the item will probably be 4kg and measure 50x30x30 cm. You can get an estimate for your location by going to http://www1.auspost.com.au/pac/ * Can ship internationally. My recommended shipping method to overseas buyers is via Registered International. Please ask for quote to your country.
